Florals are the focus of Sid Dickens’ creative eye in his Fall 2001 Monaco Collection. These pieces reflect the continuity of his romantic vision and philosophy born of his earliest work. Sid Dickens has often drawn inspiration from renaissance artists. Not surprising for a man possessed of an inquiring and expansive mind that continues to renew itself. Disciplined exploration and the experimentation of a scientific mind combined with his powerful artistic intuition continue to be the methods by which Dickens focuses his energies to bring to life his many new ideas. In his own unmistakable style, using his signature floral motif as a strong guiding principle, Dickens is expanding his collection. We can anticipate the future to include limited, signed editions and a more diverse format to satisfy the demands of his valued clientele. Continuing a long tradition of artists articulate in two and three dimensional forms, Dickens is simultaneously at work on the creation of a unique architectural structure to house his new studio. Situated in the remote waters of Northern British Columbia, the Queen Charlotte Islands rise like the rocky tips of an undersea spine. These magical islands have long been the backbone of Sid Dickens creative inspiration. It is from here that we look forward to the evolution of this talented artist's body of work. View collection.
